Scientific interests	For the first time in home and international practice, the researcher developed a methodology and practical recommendations concerning statistical support for management of economy. Unlike the traditional approaches to applied statistics, when teaching is carried out “starting from methods,” which limits their application in actual day-to-day practice by a wide range of experts in public administration and business, his investigations are performed based on the conceptual fundamentals of the “problems of managing” socio-economic development. In particular, this concerns assurance of the proportionality and balanced character, compliance with the established criteria, efficiency and intensification, evaluation and prevention of risks. The developed lines of management improvement having for an object to solve the above problems on the basis of the methodology of a statistical investigation, through building an information support for a system of indicators, distributions and groupings necessary for analysis; evaluation of the impact of the factors that determine development; determination of lines and methods of statistical analysis and, as a logical conclusion, -- development of managerial decisions based on the results of a statistical study. He worked out and contributed to development in the country of banking statistics with an allowance for the international standards and modern practices of banking activity statistics. He also built information-analytical support for banking activity, which, in logical order, characterizes the interaction of its main lines – generation of resources, their distribution, and use, generation of incomes, expenses, incomes, and efficiency. A substantial research contribution was made in the area of development of financial statistics, marketing, statistics of the goods and services market, quality statistics, accounting in industries of economy, theoretical basics of finances, and the like. In recent years, the scholar has actively worked on the problem of information and analytical support for local budgets and statistical support for investment appeal of the regions of Ukraine.
Social activity	At present, is: Member of two specialized Academic Councils charged with conferment of the academic degree of Doctor of Science: Chairman of the specialized Academic Council charged with conferment of the academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy in economics and management; Member of the Advisory Panel of the State Certifying Commission on economics of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine; Member of the Academic Council of the IAPM; Member of the Editorial Board of journals and magazines “Personnel,” “Insurance,” and “President.”
