The Grand Duke Volodymyr the Great International Preparatory Institute

The Grand Duke Volodymyr the Great International Preparatory Institute (the IPI) is an education structure of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management. The IPI was founded with the purpose of implementing international programs in the educational sphere, developing teaching, methodical, scientific and publishing activities as well as rendering informational support, tutorial and other assistance to foreign students.

The Institute’s teaching staff has abundant experience in training foreign students, the respective level of educational and methodological qualification. During the course foreign students learn Ukrainian or Russian languages (at student’s choice) and also learn such subjects as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, economics, geography, history, information science depending on specialization they wish to obtain.

On completing the course of the preparatory training foreign citizens receive State Certificates. Afterwards they may continue their study at the Presidential University of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management or at any other higher education institution of Ukraine.

The IPI’s structure includes: the Dean’s office, Registration Department, Chair of Humanities and Natural Sciences.

The admission of foreign citizens to study at the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management is performed according to the license of the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine and in accordance with the acting legislation of Ukraine. The IAPM issues official invitations for study and respective entry to Ukraine as well as renders support to obtain a visa for education purposes and organizes meeting at the control posts when applicants enter Ukraine.

Each entrant should also add to his/her application:

a) a filled questionnaire in established order;
b) a document confirming graduation from a high or higher school (its original with the supplement and their copies);
c) a document confirming the absence of the HIV infection and AIDS except as otherwise provided by international treaties of Ukraine;
d) a medical certificate on the state of health authenticated by the official health authority of the foreigner’s country of origin issued not earlier than two months prior to departure for study in Ukraine;
e) an insurance policy concerning rendering emergency medical aid
(on arrival to the IAPM);
f) a copy of the birth certificate and a copy of passport;
g) photos: 6 of 35 mm x 45 mm size, 6 of 60 mm x 40 mm size;
h) the return ticket with an open homecoming date for up to one year.

All documents must be certified in accordance with the legislation of the country of their issue and legalized in accordance with the established procedure.
