The International Preparatory Institute
The International Preparatory Institute represents a training and educational structural units of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management that was established in order to facilitate implementation of international programs in the areas of instruction, development of educational, methodological, research and printing-and-publication activities, provision of information, advisory and other services to foreigners based on intergovernmental agreements of Ukraine with other countries, as well as the bilateral agreements of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management, International personnel Academy concluded with the authorities managing education, organizations and firms of other countries and international organizations.
The Ministry of Education and science of Ukraine, according to the decision of the State Qualifying Commission, vested it with the right to train foreign citizens in all basic specialties of pre-higher-education training (engineering, biomedical and agrarian, psychological, economic, and humanitarian).
The International Preparatory Institute trains foreign citizens to be able to enter the Presidential University IAPM (the Institute of International Economics and Information Technologies, Ukrainian-Russian Institute of Management and Business, Ukrainian-Arab Institute of International relations and Linguistics, Institute of Social Sciences and Institute of Law) and to enter other higher education establishments of Ukraine.
The educative process is fully provided with teaching and methodological documentation; logistical, passport and visa support, the living conditions, medical care and life insurance for foreign citizens meet the requirements of a 4th accreditation level educational establishment.
The key task for foreign nationals is to master the Ukrainian language (or, at their will -- Russian) and the core disciplines to an extent necessary to continue studies in economic, psychological, and humane specialties at the IAPM or in engineering and medical specialties – at other higher education establishments of Ukraine.
To train the foreigners arrived to Ukraine to acquire education, we developed information on the specific, foreigners-oriented, enrolment system (formal agreements with the foreign partners and the like), passport and visa service, medical care system, health insurance system, a reasonable estimate for training of foreign principals. The IPI has all regulatory documents governing entrance of foreigners to Ukraine for educational purposes, their stay in Ukraine and exit to the countries of origin, student dormitories, and a security service, specimens of information and advertising matters in foreign languages.
Enrolment and admission of foreign citizens for studies at the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management are organized in conformity with the licenses issued by the Ministry of education and Science of Ukraine and current legislation of Ukraine.
To receive an invitation to studies for entrance to Ukraine, the IAPM provides the interested parties, according to an established procedure, with invitation forms, assists them in obtaining visas, and organizes their welcome at checkpoints.
The intrants submit their applications in person to the Academy, where they indicate the line of instruction (major) chosen, the form of training.
Each intrant should also add to his/her application:
a) a filled questionnaire of the standard pattern;
b) a document confirming graduation from a high or higher school (its original with the supplementary sheet and their copies);
c) a document confirming the absence of the HIV infection and AIDS, except as otherwise provided by international treaties of Ukraine;
d) a medical certificate of the state of health authenticated by an official health authority of the country of origin of each foreigner issue no later than two months prior to departure for studies in Ukraine;
e) an insurance policy concerning rendering of emergency aid (when arrived to Ukraine);
f) a copy of the birth certificate and a copy of the passport document;
g) photographs: 6 – sized 35 mm x 45 mm, 6 – sized 60 mm x 40 mm;
h) the return ticket with an open homecoming date for up to one year.
The above documents should be authenticated in compliance with legislation of the countries of their issue and legalized as established by law (consular legalization).
Upon their arrival to Ukraine for educational purposes, the IAPM assists the foreign students in processing their documents of title to sojourn in Ukraine.
